We are hiring!

We are building London’s first curated blind date service — a trust-first alternative to the gamified, conventional dating apps. No swiping. No algorithms. Just real people, hand-matched for real blind dates in London.

We’ve arranged dates, all through word of mouth. Every single person showed up. Our members describe the experience as unlike anything dating apps can offer. We’re now building the systems to scale — and we’re looking for hires to help us do it.

This is a rare chance to join something genuinely new at the very beginning, with potential real equity on the table as we grow.

PR & Operations

THE ROLE

You’ll work directly alongside the founder as our first hire. This role sits at the intersection of operations, PR, and human matchmaking — you’ll be the person who makes the whole experience work for our members, from the moment they sign up to the night of their date.

There’s no template for this role. You’ll help write it. The person we’re looking for is organised, empathetic, a natural communicator, and genuinely excited by the idea of changing the way people meet.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Operations

  • Manage the end-to-end member journey — from sign-up and onboarding through to date confirmation
  • Own the communications process: keeping members informed, warm, and confident in the 6–8 week matching window
  • Maintain and improve our internal matching dashboard as we build it out

Matchmaking

  • Read member questionnaires carefully and work with the founder to curate compatible matches
  • Apply good judgment and human instinct — this is not algorithmic, it’s considered
  • Coordinate date logistics: venue suggestions, timing, and confirmation details sent to both parties

Acquisition & PR

  • Build and execute strategies to grow our member pool through PR, press, partnerships, and community
  • Pitch our story to journalists, podcasters, and media — you believe in what we’re building and you can make others believe it too
  • Identify events, communities, and channels in London where our members are likely to be

Retention & Feedback

  • Ensure members feel valued, informed, and excited throughout their time in the pool
  • Gather post-date feedback and use it to improve the matching process continuously
  • Be the human face of the brand — warm, trustworthy, and responsive

WHO YOU ARE

  • Deeply organised — you can hold multiple moving parts simultaneously without dropping any
  • A natural communicator — warm, professional, and someone people instinctively trust
  • Genuinely excited by the mission — this isn’t just a job to you, it resonates
  • An instinctive PR thinker — you can spot a good story and know who needs to hear it
  • Comfortable with ambiguity — we’re early stage, things change fast, and you’re energised by that
  • London-based — our members and operations are here
  • Ideally with some background in events, hospitality, PR, or operations — but we care more about judgment and values than credentials

WHAT YOU’LL BUILD

The core product is an 8-step member onboarding and matching platform. It needs to be clean, fast, mobile-responsive, and trustworthy — because trust is the heart of the brand. Below is the full technical scope.

1 · Member-facing web application

  • Sign-up flow: Google OAuth and email/password authentication with email verification
  • Payment integration: Stripe checkout for £10 waitlist entry fee, with receipt generation
  • ID verification: API integration with a third-party identity verification provider (e.g. Onfido, Veriff, or Stripe Identity)
  • Automated receipt and confirmation email with match promise and refund policy
  • Multi-step questionnaire: values, availability, location preference, non-negotiables
  • Member dashboard: status tracker showing position in the matching pipeline
  • Date confirmation screen: display of match details (name, age, gender, venue, directions) once confirmed

2 · Admin dashboard

  • Internal-only view of all members in the pool with their questionnaire data and ID verification status
  • Matching interface: ability to pair two members and propose a date
  • Date scheduling tools: set venue, time, and trigger confirmation emails to both parties
  • Member status management: waiting / matched / date confirmed / completed / refunded
  • Basic reporting: pool size, match rate, average wait time

3 · Automated communications

  • Transactional emails for every step: sign-up, payment, ID verified, receipt, match found, date confirmed
  • Configurable email templates that can be updated without a code deploy
  • Refund trigger: admin can initiate refund via Stripe with a single action

4 · Infrastructure & security

  • Secure handling of ID verification data — GDPR compliant, encrypted at rest
  • Role-based access: member view vs admin view, properly authenticated
  • Hosted, version-controlled, and documented — we must be able to maintain it without you if needed
  • Mobile-first, responsive design throughout
